These terms and conditions apply to the use of this Website and by accessing this Website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set out below. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, you may not use or access this Website. Any order and subsequent purchase of Goods (as defined below) or services from Blue Green Ltd T/A Shadestation shall be governed by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. They should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy.

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Placing an order

These Terms and Conditions and your use of our web site are governed by English Law and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Court. This does not affect your non-excludable statutory rights.

This website and our Terms and Conditions have been designed for use within the United Kingdom and under UK Law. Whilst we are happy to consider requests for products and enquiries from outside the United Kingdom, we give no warranty, express or implied, that the use of this website or the placing of any order through this website from outside the UK complies with any applicable non-UK laws or regulations. Accordingly, any products or promotions not permitted under your local law are not offered to you.

A contract between the customer and Blue Green Limited t/a Shade Station for the sale of our products will only exist once an order has been accepted, processed and despatched. This does not affect the customer's statutory rights.

Prices and availability of goods is subject to change without notice. A delivery charge will be added to your order value where appropriate, please see UK Delivery.

We reserve the right to cancel without notice any orders where pricing errors have occurred.

Your right to cancel

If for some reason you are not happy with your product you can cancel your order and return the product to us for a refund or exchange within 14 days of the day following your receipt of the product, as long as you have taken good care of it and kept it in an unused state, complete with packaging and all its components. Please note:

  • The returned sunglasses or glasses need to reach us in the same condition in which you received them, within 14 days of receipt.
  • You have included the returns authorisation form (sent with your original order) with your returns package.
  • Postage fees incurred for returning glasses to us will need to be covered by the sender.
  • Returns MUST be unused and in their original condition and packaging and with all the accessories included in your package (e.g. cases and cloths). You may be charged for any unreturned items.
  • When returning your glasses, we recommend that you use a tracked/signed for delivery service as we are unable to take responsibility for packages lost in post. Your statutory rights in relation to returns and refunds are not affected.

You can cancel your order by:

  • Contacting us through the online form on the "Contact Us" page of the website and ensuring all order details, including order number, are included within the message; or
  • Completing the below model cancellation form, which can be copied into the body of your message through our contact form, or printed out and scanned as an attachment to the contact form or sent to us by post.

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item or items to us in their original condition within 14 days of receipt. We will issue a refund within 14 days of receipt, or exchange the item or items you return for a different model/ colour if preferred. A refund will only be made direct to the credit/charge card originally used to place the order.

To assist us and ensure a speedy refund or exchange - please complete the form provided here and enclose with your returned item.

Please note:

  • Upon receipt of your order, please check the goods are in good condition and notify us straight away if there is a problem.
  • If you receive your item that is faulty, you must notify us in writing within 7 days of receipt of the product.
  • The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. For your own protection, we recommend that you send the parcel using a secure delivery service which requires tracking or a signature upon receipt and insures you for the value of the goods.
  • If returning from OUTSIDE the EU please DO NOT USE COURIER SERVICES as there will be excessive clearance fees, we will either refuse delivery or charge the fees back to you. You must ensure the value on the parcel is listed as "ZERO" and you CLEARLY write "RETURNED GOODS" on the customs form and parcel itself as we will not accept parcels that incur duty charges.
  • Earrings or other items of pierced jewellery cannot be returned unless they are found to have manufacturing faults.
  • Shade Station will not refund you for the postage and packaging of your item unless the item sent was incorrect or faulty.
  • Shade Station cannot be held responsible for any issues that occur with watches that have had links removed by any third parties. Once watch straps and/or links have been removed the item is non-returnable to Shade Station.


Our products are packaged to ensure they arrive to you in good condition. However very occasionally items will arrive damaged or with defects.

If the item you received is faulty, please contact Returns on 0344 848 7878 quoting your order number, your name and address, details of the product, the reason for return and whether you require a refund or a replacement. We will then advise on how to proceed with the return. If you receive your item in a faulty condition you must notify us in writing within 7 days of receipt of the product.

In these circumstances we will also pay you the cost of the return postage. Please obtain a proof of posting certificate from your Post Office to enable us to process the refund for your return postage costs.

This does not affect your Statutory Rights.


If the item you received is not what you originally ordered, please contact Returns within 7 days of receiving your order on 0344 848 7878 quoting your order number, your name and address, details of the product and the reason for return, and whether you require a refund or a replacement. We will then advise on how to proceed with the return.

In these circumstances we will also pay you the cost of the return postage. Please obtain a proof of posting certificate from your Post Office to enable us to process the refund for your return postage costs.

This does not affect your statutory rights.


We accept online payment in a secure environment by credit card or The Shade Station Company Gift Vouchers. We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Switch, Visa Electron, PayPal, Klarna and Clearpay payments. All transactions are shown in £ sterling.

We do not store personal or financial information in the process of payment, not do we share this information with 3rd parties.

All prices quoted on this website are accurate at the time of publication and are quoted in pounds sterling (£). VAT is included in the price (unless otherwise stated) and is subject to change without notice. Blue Green Limited is VAT registered (GB448792247).

UK Delivery

We endeavour to display through this website all items in our current range. We aim to hold stock of all styles and sizes whilst a product is active. Sometimes errors do occur in our stock inventory or other customers order just before you. We reserve the right to cancel any order without notice which are subject to stock issues. In the event that an item is temporarily out of stock, we will endeavour to notify you as soon as possible. We cannot be liable or responsible for any loss occurring because your items are not in stock.

We will make every effort to deliver your order within the time estimate, however all dates quoted are estimates only and delivery within the time quoted cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to change. All estimates are given in working days unless otherwise stated. We will not be liable for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) caused to you by late delivery over the estimate provided. All orders received before 4pm will, subject to availability, be despatched on the following working day for a 7 working day delivery. Those orders received after 4pm will, subject to availability, be despatched on the second working day following receipt.

It is the buyer's responsibility to notify us if the goods have not been received within 21 days of the estimated delivery date or receipt of our invoice. If no notification is made within this time period the buyer shall be deemed to have received the goods.

If an item is returned to us uncollected and has to be reshipped, the customer will have to be charged for postage again.

Our products are packaged to ensure they arrive to you in good condition. However very occasionally items will arrive damaged or with defects. If this does occur then please see the returns section for details on how to return your item.


There may be taxes and fees or other charges that you may be liable for. Please check with your local customs office before the order is placed as these charges vary from country to country and we do not have a control over these charges.

If local import and custom charges are refused or not paid by you, then the item could be returned to us or possibly even destroyed. If your order is not returned to us we may not be able to refund you for your order. We would not be able to refund any original postage costs paid and can only refund for the returned products minus any costs incurred in returning them to us.


A description of the goods is set out on our website. Whilst we will attempt to ensure that there are no changes to the goods to be supplied, it is possible that there may be some minor variations to the description and/or specification of the goods which arise by virtue of changes made by the manufacturers of the parts supplied which form part of the goods. If an order is placed and during the customisation process the original frame colour is no longer available from our suppliers, we shall glaze the lenses into a frame colour that is similar to the original.


When ordering, you must provide us with details of the relevant prescription that is to be applied to the goods. All prescriptions provided to us must have been given to you by a Registered Medical Practitioner or Registered Ophthalmic Optician following an eye examination by them within the last 2 years.

We will rely upon the prescription provided by you and the goods provided will contain lenses matching the prescription that you submitted.

If you are unsure of the relevant prescription to be applied to the goods, please consult a Registered Medical Practitioner or Registered Ophthalmic Optician before placing an order.

Unless you state otherwise, we use an appropriate average Pupillary Distance 'PD' to complete your order. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, and unless you state otherwise, you will be agreeing to let us use an average PD of 63mm. Blue Green Ltd recommend that you consult your Optician to obtain your PD before ordering, and provide that measurement to us when ordering.

The lenses we use in prescriptions are not the brand lenses but our own ophthalmic lenses and therefore will not have the brand logo on.

You must be over the age of 16 to order from Blue Green Ltd and you must not be registered blind, or partially sighted, or ordering on behalf of someone under 16 years of age.

We do not supply spectacles with single vision lenses of a spherical power greater than +9.50 and -9.50 (dioptres) and a cylindrical power greater than +4.00 and -4.00 (dioptres) - please do not request us to do this.

In exceptional circumstances certain prescription and frame combinations may incur an extra charge to be able to be glazed. We will notify you of this before we glaze your frames.


Blue Green Ltd does not seek to exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury arising from its negligence or that of its members, agents, directors or employees or for any fraudulent misrepresentation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law and save as provided above, neither Blue Green Ltd nor any associated company shall be liable to you by reason of any representation, or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the contract, or in negligence (whether on the part of Blue Green Ltd or any of its members, agents, directors, employees or otherwise) for any indirect, special or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to loss of profit or loss of saving), costs, expenses or other claims for compensation whatsoever which arise out of or in connection with the use of this website, the supply of the products or their use or resale by you.

The limitations of liability in these conditions shall apply equally for the benefit of Blue Green Limited and any other associated company of Blue Green Ltd as if references to Blue Green Ltd included references to each such associated company.

While Blue Green Ltd uses reasonable endeavours to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and up to date, it does not give any warranty as to its accuracy or completeness and Blue Green Ltd will not be responsible for any errors or omissions or for the results arising from the use of such information.

While Blue Green Ltd takes all reasonable steps to ensure a fast and reliable service, it does not guarantee that your use of this website will be interruption or error free and will not be responsible for any disruption, loss of or corruption of any material in transit, or loss of or corruption of material or data when downloaded onto any computer system.

Further, Blue Green Ltd will not be responsible nor liable for your use of any other websites which you may access via links within this website. The entire liability of Blue Green Ltd under or in connection with any contract for any products to which these conditions apply shall not exceed the price of the products, except as expressly provided in these conditions.

Blue Green Ltd will not be liable to you or be deemed to be in breach of the contract by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of its obligations in relation to the products ordered by you if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond its reasonable control.

Blue Green Ltd may assign or transfer any of its rights or sub contract any of its obligations under these terms and conditions to any third party. You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or sub contract any of your obligations under these terms and conditions except with the specific permission in writing of Blue Green Ltd.

No person who is not a party to these terms and conditions shall have any right to enforce any term under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. Nothing in these conditions is intended nor shall affect any of your statutory rights that may not be legally excluded.
